GeoWeb Solar is an online tool that allows the user to visualize a variety of different important features related to infrastructure and daily life, as well as allowing the user to calculate and assess the suitability of solar hot water systems for single family residential buildings. The context is the District of North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The application utilizes layers to show different information, as well as showing solar energy using a heat map, star rating (out of 5) and a graph to show energy production over the year. Solar statistics tools and examples of solar hot water installations are also present. The tool is presented in an Adobe Flash environment.
