Walkshed is an interactive web tool for visualizing walkability. Based on scoring locations for their proximity to amenities, this tool produces a score (out of 100) that gives the user a perception of the level of walkability for their address or their region. The tool allows users to weigh a number of different factors to create a final weighted overlay raster map, showing areas in red as bad, and areas in green as good. The application’s calculations and overlays are powered by DecisionTree, a set of web tools that allow for prioritization and planning. Perhaps the subject of a future post.
