Reykjavik Centre Map is a hand-drawn isometric map showing points of interest in the Icelandic capital city. The map was created by Borgarmynd and is an extremely visually appealing example of what is possible with map creation. The web interface allows for the user to interact with and inspect the illustration. The illustration itself is loaded as tiles and each of the markers is placed according to a pixel location (rather than a coordinate). This is an alternative view of mapping – for creating visually appealing maps, sometimes going the extra mile can result in beautiful works like this!
