ZoLa, or the Zoning and Land Use Map produced by NYC Planning, is a tool for residents to access zoning information about New York City. The tool provides a number of different layers that can be turned on and off. The tool also allows users to search for locations, identify features, and switch to aerial photos. By identifying features, popups show up with links leading to more information about the land designation. The tool interestingly is a dijit – a Dojo widget which are known for simple user interfaces for web applications.
