As of August 1st, the data storage and sharing tool, BuzzData (as I covered before here) will be closing. A message from their team noted a move towards LookBookHQ, a for-pay product allowing users to create stories out of their data. The message, in its entirety is quoted below:
Dear BuzzData user,
Thanks for being a part of our journey.
In the summer of 2011 we launched BuzzData as a platform for the world to share data and related facts. Over the last two years, the demand for more context around the key facts and figures has grown. In response to this, we launched LookBookHQ in March of this year to embrace visual, engaging storytelling as its central focus.
We’re enormously pleased with LookBookHQ’s success to date but the downside to this is that we can no longer support both services in parallel to the standard that we aim for. We are therefore writing to inform you that the BuzzData.com service will be soon come to an end. As of August 1, 2013, you will no longer be able to access or view your content on BuzzData.com.
We recommend that you sign in to BuzzData.com before July 31, 2012, and download all of your documents to your computer.
We couldn’t have developed LookBooks without our experience of operating BuzzData. We’re proud of our past and our LookBookHQ future is bright. We hope you’ll join us there.
The BuzzData / LookBookHQ Team
