Kinoko Patio /// Portfolio: Urban Planning

Market 707 Proposal

In July of 2013, I worked with Tyler Wilkinson and Utako Tanabe on a competition for a patio design for Toronto’s Market 707. We were awarded second place for our design, Kinoko Patio. The clients, Scadding Court Community Centre asked for a design that was cost effective and maximized seating space for the nearby food stalls and businesses. Our design centered on modularity, where the patio could be constructed and reconfigured easily as the client saw fit. As well, green space, crafted tables and market branding were provided in the space as part of the design.
