Development Proposal /// Portfolio: Arts/Urban Planning

Development proposal is an installation work produced as part of The Noise Project, a residency held in Toronto in early 2013.

The work consists of three sign posts, placed in a gallery and around a neighbourhood of Toronto calling attention to specific urban spaces. Each space was redesigned and re-imagined with emphasis placed on the relationship between a space and its unique sound. Sound collages were created and paired with visual collages. The work asks viewers what may be missing when thinking of future spaces as merely visual as well as illuminating the contributions of two senses (sight and hearing) in the process of reading urban space. IMG_6410
